The premiere of the first two episodes of the series “Śleboda” only at BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon!

On the second day of BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon, one of the main parts of the Festival programme will be a special screening of Śleboda produced by SkyShowtime. We warmly invite you to the screening of the first two episodes of the series, which will be pre-released to the Festival audience.

Śleboda is a six-part original series starring Maria Dębska as university lecturer Anka Serafin, Maciej Musiał as journalist Sebastian Strzygoń and Piotr Pacek as local police officer Jędrek Chowaniec. The series revolves around a young anthropology doctor from Cracow (Dębska) who flees to the mountains seeking self-discovery, only to stumble upon a dead body. She quickly becomes entangled in solving a murder mystery and finds herself crossing paths with Sebastian (Musiał), a shameless journalist on the hunt for a scoop, and Jędrek (Pacek), a local police officer, who she shared a teenage romance with [SkyShowtime].

The project is led by two talented directors – Michał Gazda (including Znachor, Napad, Wataha) and Bartosz Blaschke (Sonata), while the script was adapted by Karolina Frankowska and Katarzyna Golenia. The first-ever Polish series produced by SkyShowtime has received an all-star ensemble, thanks to casting director Ewa Brodzka. The lead roles are played by Maria Dębska, Maciej Musiał and Piotr Pacek, while other roles on screen include Joanna Balasz, Andrzej Chyra, Kuba Dyniewicz, Helena Englert, Jan Englert, Tomasz Karolak, Artur Krajewski, Mateusz Janicki, Mateusz Kmiecik, Magdalena Lamparska, Leszek Lichota, Anna Nehrebecka, Józef Pawłowski and Andrzej Zieliński.

In Polish highland dialect, the word “śleboda” simply means freedom. Episodes one and two of the series will premiere on December 12th via the SkyShowtime platform, and participants of BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon will see it during a special screening on December 5th. Once again, we sincerely invite you to Kinoteka to take a journey with us to Podhale and learn the intricate story of Anna Serafin and the mysteries of Murzasichle.

The event is organized by OFF CAMERA Foundation in partnership with the capital city of Warsaw. The festival’s titular partner is BNP Paribas Bank.
