During the second edition of the festival, the KATLA – Kasia Bajka Award – was also presented. It was established on the initiative of the festival organisers and Canal+ Polska. Kasia Bajka was an expert and enthusiast in the audiovisual industry who collaborated with Canal+ Polska, as well as a long-time programmer and manager at the OFF CAMERA Foundation, where she was responsible, among other things, for the SerialCon programme during the Mastercard OFF CAMERA festival. The award named after her was created to honour audiovisual artists who, like Kasia, are able to inspire, move and surprise.

The CUTTING EDGE award is given to creators who blur the boundaries between the world of series and film. They are constantly looking for new and original forms of telling episodic stories and breaking genre conventions. They follow paths that require commitment, effectiveness and consistency. The award aims to recognise personalities who tackle bold and meaningful topics, promote diversity and break stereotypes through their actions.

During the second edition of the international series festival in Poland, BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon, we awarded the CUTTING EDGE award to Michelle Fairley.

The Awards ceremony was performed during the Festival Closing Gala.
