“Mysterious Disappearances of Women” is a documentary series revealing the behind-the-scenes details of the most shocking disappearance cases in recent years of Polish criminology. The series is created by Rafał Zalewski — an investigative journalist with more than twenty years of experience. He personally worked on each of the stories presented, and he even helped solve some of them. Now, his knowledge and private archive allow viewers to feel as if they are at the very center of events — events that still send chills down the spine, even after many years. Zalewski presents interviews with the families and witnesses of these terrifying cases — some of whom, before the viewers’ eyes, turn out to be the perpetrators. The journalist also reaches investigators and experts whose accounts cast a completely new light on the cases. Thanks to them, he answers not only the question of what really happened, but also why it happened.
