How to create a good comedy? Humour, risk and new forms of storytelling in the era of premium series 

We invite you to an industry discussion devoted to the state of contemporary comedy and the challenges facing creators of the genre. The starting point for the conversation will be the phenomenon of the fifth season of ‘The Office PL’, the original, authorial perspective of the series ‘Minuta ciszy’ (‘A Minute of Silence’) and the bold, unconventional approach of the creators of ‘1670’.   

During the panel, the creators will talk about their experience in creating cult titles: from constructing humour and building irony, through working on language, rhythm and style, to creating a world that entertains and comments on reality at the same time. We will talk about the role of risk in the creative process, about breaking the mould and searching for forms that can connect a mass audience with a demanding viewer.   

The meeting will be attended by the creators and producers responsible for the above-mentioned productions — people who are successfully redefining Polish comedy, showcasing its diversity, courage and strength.
