Exciting premieres, international jury, and the biggest streaming services — the second edition of BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon is coming in November!

BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon is the only event in Poland entirely devoted to series. In addition to screenings, it offers a space for meetings and dialogue between creators and viewers, and everyone who loves compelling screen stories – regardless of age, taste, or experience. The first edition showed that the festival perfectly combines the small screen with the world of cinema – there is nothing like watching your favorite stories and characters on the big screen.

BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon – Poland’s only TV series festival – will once again bring together creators, broadcasters, and fans of popular series. We want to showcase the best titles of recent months and capture the phenomenon of the expanding popularity of this format. Our festival is a place where many aspects of the workings and perception of episodic productions, which are now a part of the daily lives of most of us, intersect. Watching TV series is one of the most popular ways to relax and enjoy widely available entertainment. They help us relax and forget about our everyday problems, but they can also reflect our fears and doubts, mirroring social anxieties. This shows that TV series have gone far beyond the traditional screen, branching out into real life and creating new phenomena. We want to show all this and encourage a deeper dialogue. It is no coincidence that Warsaw is the location of BNP Paribas Warsaw Serial Con. This is where 60% of all audiovisual productions in Poland are made. It is also the only Polish city that has managed to become a full-fledged character in many TV series. BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon is a space that brings together creators, viewers, and broadcasters in one place. This year’s edition will feature a variety of thematic sections, special screenings, special events, meetings with stars and co-stars, and in the Main Competition, Polish productions will compete for the title of Best Series of 2025, which will be awarded by an international jury. We have invited the largest streaming services and broadcasters to cooperate in this year’s edition. Screenings and accompanying events will take place at the Kinoteka in Warsaw. An integral part of the festival is a three-day SerialCon Pro Industry event dedicated to representatives of the film industry, during which there will be numerous workshops, panels, and discussions – Magdalena Sroka, Program Director, BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon.

The first edition of BNP Paribas Warsaw SerialCon was a huge success – the TV series industry finally gained a space for industry discussions, engaging streaming services, creators, producers, and the media, while the most talked-about premieres attracted crowds of spectators. The festival also hosted international stars, including Jared Harris, Gaia Weiss, and David Caffrey. An international, independent jury evaluated domestic productions, awarding them in numerous categories. Last year, the title of Polish Series of the Year went to Netflix’s “Infamia.” The announcement of this year’s nominees is still ahead of us, but you can already be sure that the festival is loaded with great productions and interesting events! You can be sure that there will be new stories to discover, fascinating premieres to attend, and people to share experiences and impressions with.
